Renaissance Fusion is the first Magnetic Confinement Fusion company in the EU. We are building the first net-energy producing stellarator by combining proprietary innovations in modular design, the manufacturing of next-generation High-Temperature Superconducting (HTS) magnets, and liquid walls. We are forming a team of the brightest, most driven scientists and engineers to realize and commercialize our non-fusion HTS magnets within 2 years and fusion magnets and integrated fusion solutions within 10 years.
Specifically, we are looking for an efficient, proactive and creative talent acquisition specialist to drive our ambitious recruitment plan of several dozens of new hires at varying job levels in the next two years.
Our team is young, agile, international, and based in the exciting city of Grenoble, by the French Alps.
Responsibilities
Individual responsibilities:
Design job descriptions and interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements
Engage proactively with passive candidates, be a Company ambassador to prospective candidates and develop talent pools/networks ahead of requirements
Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g. social platforms and professional networks)
Screen and select suitable candidates within reasonable timeframes to present shortlists to hiring managers
Plan interview and selection procedures, including screening calls, assessments and in-person interviews
Discuss and negotiate salary expectations with successful candidates
Liaise with successful candidates to formalize the hiring
Perform the non-technical onboarding of the new hires
Implement the necessary changes required by the new “Convention Collective Nationale de la Métallurgie” in 2022 and 2023
Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
Organize, perform necessary preparation and attend job fairs and recruitment events
Support social media branding as it relates to recruiting initiatives ensuring the employer brand is consistent
Identify hiring process improvements and make sound recommendations for their implementation
Responsibilities as a team member:
Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and determine selection criteria
Establish collaborations with Career Services of local universities and research institutes together with specific technical team-members
Support internal and external culture and community building strategies
Qualifications -essential:
Master in Human Resources Management or relevant field
5+ years of hands-on experience with the full recruitment process using various interview and resourcing techniques that lead to efficiency and a reduction of time-to-fill, yet delivering quality in innovative ways
Very good knowledge of French employment law and regulations
Proven record of strong partnering and relationship building at all levels of the business
Demonstrated ability to create the highest standards with recruitment campaigns and strategies
Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation) in both English and French, including the ability to listen effectively
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Excellent relationship and people management skills
Ability to quickly act and directly engage with candidates in the most efficient way
Excellent knowledge of hiring sites, platforms, social media, resume databases, professional networks other channels
Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to demonstrate flexibility when direction or priorities shift
Qualifications -essential:
2+ years of experience in recruitment issues/legislation and their potential impact on the business and any new hires
Previous exposure to cutting-edge technology and R&D environments
Genuine interest in technology
Familiarity with current and new “Convention Collective Nationale de la Métallurgie”
Sufficient knowledge of the Microsoft Sharepoint platform
Familiarity with the Grenoble area and industry environment
Knowledge of sector-specific (semiconductors, plasma physics, liquid metals and engineering) hiring sites, platforms, social media, resume databases, professional networks other channels
